I am amazed that Petroleumworld would print this poorly researched and obviously biased article in what I previously thought was a fair and unbiased Web Site.

If the author had done the slightest bit of research he (she?) would have seen that since the first "Oil Boom" T&T has had in place programs of financial assistance to the region and has indeed, over the years, written off hundreds of millions of US$ of loans, much to the disgust of T&T taxpayers.

Yes, voters do count in T&T and they can and do make their views known...

As for Barbados they are far too clever to get involved in this "Bacchanal". After all they did not get to a Standard of Living several times higher than Venezuela, with very few natural resources, by not analysing the future consequences of their current actions...

We are definitely unbiased, at least we try.

But, we do give the chance to other views, even do they probably are incorrect.

To counter the article you mention, on Saturday we will have an article by Dra. Emma Brossard that is quite convincing on the contrary.
