Moody's cambia nota de Cuba a "estable" desde "positiva"

La agencia de calificación crediticia Moody's bajó la perspectiva de la nota soberana “Caa2” de Cuba a “estable” desde “positiva”, debido al estancamiento del proceso de apertura entre Washington y La Habana.

La agencia ratificó la nota “Caa2” de Cuba, citando debilidades como “un acceso limitado al financiamiento exterior, ineficiencias estructurales, el riesgo de transición política y, más importante, una limitada transparencia de datos”.

“Los principales motivos de la decisión de Moody's de cambiar el panorama a estable desde positivo son el proceso estancado de acercamiento con Estados Unidos y las menores perspectivas de mayores reformas económicas en la isla”, dijo la agencia en un reporte.

El Gobierno de Estados Unidos anunció el miércoles nuevas restricciones a los viajes y el comercio con Cuba, cumpliendo la promesa del presidente Donald Trump de frenar el acercamiento iniciado con La Habana por su predecesor, el demócrata Barack Obama.
