Manning vs Chavez

Trinidad and Tobago's Prime Minister Patrick Manning is due in Caracas in two weeks. The talks will be center in energy,Manning is to propose that T&T and Venezuela should supply the energy needs of the region together, a good idea but it is against Chavez's PetroCaribe solo effort. But that is only the excuse for Manning accept Chavez invitation, the real reason is that Manning wants to monetise the natural gas on both sides of their common maritime border. For Chavez the invitation to Manning is to convince him to let him run his PetroCaribe in exchange for signing the oil unitization border fields agreements, however, to monetise the venezuelan oil in Trinidad, Manning as to do a bit more than agree in letting Chavez to do its thing with PetroCaribe. Perhaps promoting Venezuela as the regional leader within CARICOM ?
