Brown vs
Brown
Japan
has only just replaced its Prime Minister, having done so
"
internally" rather than through a public election,
so for a
while at least all things political there shall return
to quiet.
The same cannot be said for England,
where new elections may soon be called in. Mr.
Brown has obviously just taken his position at the helm
in
the UK in rather the same manner as did the new
Japanese Prime Minister, but he would clearly like to
have his own mandate and may soon call for an election.
Mr. Brown has polled quite strongly lately, surprising
even
himself and his supporters. A recent Ipsos-Mori poll has
in The Sun recently had Brown & Company with an 8%
point lead over the Tories where an election to be held
soon. In that light, it is quite possible that Mr. Brown
may
call for an election as early as the last week of October.
Were we he we would, but we're not; he is, and the
decision resides with him.
