Russia's Latam refinery

It seems that as previous reported, Russia is still holding talks with Venezuela to develop a new 220.000 barrels per day refinery in Venezuela, to supply US markets and its retail network.On Monday, Lukoil CEO Vagit Alekperov confirmed in comments at Columbia University, that the company is negotiating to adquire a refinery in the Western Hemisphere to feed its U.S. retail network sourced from Latin American feedstocks. The refinery capacity would be about 10 million mt/year (79.000.174 barrels per year). Worldwide, Lukoil had 5,793 gasoline stations as of 2006 and its network in the U.S. is been develop.
