Whose side were you on ?

Venezuela's Hugo Chavez told journalists Sunday he want to know from Spain's King Juan Carlos de Borbon whose side he was on during failed coup attempt against him in 2002, a day after the monarch demanded Chavez "shut up" at an Ibero-American summit.

"The debate is now underway, Mr. King," Chavez told journalists in Santiago.

" Were you aware (in advance) of the coup ... against the legitimate, elected, democratic government of Venezuela in 2002?" he said.

Juan Carlos told Chavez to "just shut up," Saturday, due to the Venezuelan leader's attack of Spain's former prime minister, calling him several times a "fascist."

The two were part of a large meeting of the 17th meeting of the heads of state and governments of Latin America, and Spain, Portugal.
