SOLD: Caribbean beachfront property

The rumor propagated on Wednesday like lighting, Valero Energy Corp.'s Caribbean vacation is over.
It seems that North America's biggest refiner, is almost ready to unload its 275,000 barrels a day Aruba's refinery to PETROBRAS. Valero bought the facility in 2004, for $365-million, plus $100-million for related operations on the island and $162-million for working capital. It was a 315,000 b/d refinery when Valero bought the facility. If this deal goes trough, Petrobras will probably want to make a circuit with its the Aruba's refinery, and the refineries of Barracabermeja in Cartagena and Esmeraldas in Ecuador.
