Daily's coca chew ?



It seems that President Hugo Chávez has a new recipe to become strong and energetic, to chew coca paste daily, yes, on regularly basis. He revealed on his Sunday's TV program that he regularly consumes coca paste - the source of cocaine. ''I chew coca paste every day in the morning . . . and look how I am,'' he is on TV, as he raise his biceps to the audience. Bolivian President Evo Morales ``sends me coca paste . . . I recommend it to you, he continue saying. Although coca leaves have nutritional and medical characteristics, coca paste is a refined product that ''the principal component is an alkaloid, cocaine,'' that can be ''harmful'' if it's made part of a daily diet, Nancy Siles, a biochemist with the Bolivian College of Biochemistry and Pharmacy, wrote in a a recent report, Casto Ocando from the Miami Herald quoted
