Hollywood rising star

Not only Petrobras, is a rising star on his own rigth in the oil business, but in the movie industry is coming to be one. Warner Bros. Pictures, and Village Roadshow Pictures have announced an unprecedented market agreement in Latin America through which the Petrobras will develop a product placement action consisting in the company's presence in a mega Hollywood production with the most varied forms of brand exposure in scenarios, scenes and moments in the cooming movie Speed Racer. The film – directed and written by brothers Larry and Andy Wachowski, creators of the Matrix trilogy, and produced by Joel Silver (V for Vendetta and Matrix) – will take the classic Japanese animation series created by Tatsuo Yoshida in the 1960's to the silver screen and depicts the adventures of young driver Speed (Emile Hirsch) and his powerful Mach 5 car on the tracks. Speed Racer is scheduled to debut in the hand of Warner Bros. in association with Village Roadshow Pictures and Silver Pictures Production and in the United States, on May 9 2008, with simultaneous debuts in a large number of international markets, including Brazil.
