PDVSA will have to wait this week until British court Judge Paul Walker will issue a ruling to see if PDVSA will get its $12 billion of assets un freeze or not. However, Gordon Pollock, the English barrister for PDVSA, said his client may ignore a ruling confirming the asset freeze. "Defiance of this court would simply enhance our reputation in the areas where it mattered: in the corridors of OPEC," Pollock said. OPEC this week lent its support to Venezuela in its fight.
