TT gearing up


Since 1989, The Trinidad & Tobago Energy Conference (formerly the Trinidad & Tobago Petroleum Conference) is organized by the South Trinidad Chamber of Industry and Commerce (STCIC), the representative association for the Trinidad & Tobago energy sector (www.stcic.org). It is a well respected and well established energy conference and widely regarded as the premier energy sector event in the Caribbean region. Next year the TT Energy Conference will be held in Port Spain, at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad, on Jan 25-27, features speakers are the Honorable Senator Conrad Enill Minister of Energy and Energy Industries of Trinidad and Tobago; Robert Riley Chairman & CEO, bpTT;Christine Ervin Assistant Secretary of Energy for President Clinton responsible for clean energy technologies; Past President and CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council; Kenneth Allum President, Petrotrin; Rampersad Motilal CEO/Managing Director of Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited (MHTL);Charles Percy Managing Director and CEO, Methanex Trinidad Limited;François Servantie President, Yara Trinidad Ltd; Ferdinando Rigardo Caribbean Regional Director, Repsol YPF;Oscar Prieto
CEO, Atlantic LNG, among others.

The vision of the South Trinidad Chamber of Industry and Commerce is to steer the energy sector of Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean from mere hydrocarbon extraction to sustainable development.The annual conference attracts members and non-members from around the region and is a prestigious event on the international conference circuit. The Energy Conference continues to grow in scope and importance and for the past two years has incorporated both a Workshop and Trade show element.
