Output on the rise

OPEC crude production for a August said six countries raised their output, including Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Venezuela and Iran. Saudi Arabia's output totaled 9.28 million b/d, up from 9.25 million b/d in July; Iranian production rose to 3.95 million b/d in August from 3.87 million b/d in July, while Venezuela's output rose to 2.49 million b/d from 2.4 million b/d. for a total of 29.91 million barrels a day in August, up 220,000 b/d from the previous month, Platts reported in a survey released.
