The Sejil-2
Iran test-fired an upgraded version of its long range Sejil-2 surface-to-surface missile, and according to Iranian news sources, the missile hit its pre-determined target successfully.
Further, Iran’s Defense Minister said, regarding the missile firing, that its
Significance… is that it is impossible to destroy it by anti-missile rockets…[but it will be used] only to defend peace, security and stability both in Iran and in the entire region
The missile has a range of 2,000 kilometers, much longer than that of the Shahab missile which preceded it, with a range of 1,300-2,000-km. The map enclosed shows that the new Sejil-2 has the ability… easily… to reach Israel to the West and into the Saudi Peninsula and the Emirates to the South.
