PDVSA 2005

 

A lot of misunderstanding persist on what the Minister of Energy and Petroleum (and PDVSA president) Rafael Ramírez presented last week as PDVSA’s audited income statement for 2005. To set the record straight, Ramirez only presented tables with financial data from 2005, versus 2004, 2003, 2002, and 2001. He did not make the data available to the journalists who were there. If we take a look at the PDVSA web site, we only find information on the meeting of PDVSA's general assembly approving the financial statements of 2004, not information whatsoever on 2005.
