From Venezuela there is a group of more than 50 persons going to the first World Heavy Oil Conference & Exposition, at China World Hotel, from the 12th until the 15th November 2006, organize by CNPC, and Alberta government. It is jointly hosted by CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC, Alberta government, and PDVSA. This event has been hailed widely by the global heavy oil community. Leading PDVSA's delegation, will be its vice president Luis Vierma. It presents a valuable opportunity for each country with a stake in the global heavy oil market to exchange views, business opportunities, innovations and technologies during four days of technical, commercial and social programmes.
