Democrats on the go

Dennis Gartman writes on its The Garthman Letter, Wednesday, how wrong he was on its US mid-term elections predictions.

We shall be honest, we have gotten this election very badly wrong. There is no need on our part to try to hide, we have erred badly in our insight in the election process. For years, we have gotten the election process very, very right, having chosen Mr. Clinton for the Presidency even in the early days of the primaries when others found that laughable. We understood and called for the Republican majorities in the House and Senate under the then leadership of Newt Gingrich and the Contract with America, when others found that laughable. We called the victories by Mr. Bush, and we called the retention of the Republican majorities in both Houses of Congress in the mid-term of Mr. Bush's first term in Congress, as well as for the retention of the Republican majorities in both Houses in the last Presidential cycle, when once again so many found that laughable. However, we got this cycle utterly and completely wrong and the laugh now is upon us. We measured the psyche of the American voter this time, and we measured incorrectly.
