Bush on the offensive

Baker may control most of the Executive Branch with his pro-Iran policy, but
President Bush is on the offensive. In his press conference with PM Blair,
President Bush spoke strongly in favor of the Maliki-Sadr government. He
spoke strongly against Iran for promoting terrorism in Iraq and Lebanon, and
dismissed out of hand any negotiations with Iran. Finally, he attacked the
Iran-al Qaeda terrorist axis in Iraq.
