Subject: KURDISTAN and Turkey

Scott Sullivan:

You are back and how sad this is to have you back...without you the world was way better....

but anyways....I might not be as good as you are in politics, heck what you expect I am still a student...

First thing, I don't know what you got against the Kurds...you know exactly that the Kurds have and are suffering in the hand of the Turkish military and politicians.

You also know the PKK is the hand work of the Turkish military who banned the Kurdish language, culture, and even the word "KURDS and KURDISTAN". Instead the Kurds were called "MOUNTAIN TURKS" a people a split away from the Turks.

With no basic human right you would have of course some people fighting against the Turkish policies towards the Kurds.

This started first peacefully, through dialog. But every time the Kurdish politicians have tried to solve the problem through dialog they have been called "separatists, terrorist, betrayers". 26 Kurdish parties have been shut down in less than 16 years. Every single one. And we are facing the 27th one, the DTP, who are running liberal. Why are they being shut down? For the same crimes as the other 26th Kurdish parties have been shut down, for basic human rights.

You should know by know why the PKK took arm against the Turkish state. Its been 3 decades since the war started against the Kurds. 3 decades of innocent bloodshed's. The PKK first started by demanding their own state, but in 1999 when their leader Mr. Ocalan was cough and imprisoned for life, they started to change their demands to basic human rights for all kurds and that the Kurdish language should be accepted as an official language next to Turkish and should be taught in schools, and also amnesty for the PKK fighters and free Ocalan.

The last time the PKK has offered cease fire was couple weeks ago I believe.

They made the same demands again, but Turkey did not even listen.

Turkey has one way thinking "my way or the high way". With this thinking Turkey will no go far.

Turkey has killed thousand of Kurds and destroyed 3.000 villages and displayed 3 million Kurds..

South Turkey is a third world country whereby west Turkey enjoys Economic boomings.

To the Mousal issue and Kirkuke, The Kurds have been living in their territories called Kurdistan for more then 10.000 years now. In those 10.000 years you do not see the Kurds invading another country. Kirkuke was ethnically cleansed by Saddam Hussein, to settle Arab Sunnis and Shias. Kirkuke was and is a Kurdish
city and many Kurds see Kirkuke as the Kurdish Jerusalem.

Saddam has tried to wipe out the Kurdish identity from the earths face and failed.

Turkey, Syria, and Iran are trying the same and will also fail. When in History do you see the oppressor win over the oppressed ones?

Turkey has no right to intervene in South Kurdistan. If it will then South Kurdistan has the right to intervene in South Turkey where nearly 15 to 20 million Kurds live in poor conditions.

Turkey uses the PKK as an excuse to invade northern Iraq and every body knows this.

Turkey is not affraid of the PKK infact the Turkish military need the PKK to stay the power.

The PKK is a tool for the Turkish military. Its been 3 decades, a high technologist country against a bunch of AK people. You know the end of this.

Turkey is more afraid of a Kurdish neighbor. This has been Turkeys biggest nightmare since the creation of Turkey in 1924. Turkey is afraid if South Kurdistan be declared independent then their brothers and sisters in South Turkey will do the same and unite with South Kurdistan. That is the reason why Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria were so cooperative among each other against the Kurds.

None of those countries wish a free Kurdistan.

We know that the Kurds are the largest people with out a state on their own.

Karl Marx once said "every nationality deserves a nation of their own".

The UN and EU policy is the same. Every nationality has the right to fight for its right and a country that they can call home.

So please next time if you write such things, make sure who is who.

Turkey is very successful in telling the world that they are the innocent once, the one that are suffering the most, in all this.

I wish you a good day

sincerely

Haci Ulucesme (student)
