I read the letter to the editor by Nina Gomez of the Women's Strike for Peace in which she blames US support for right wing extremists as the cause of violence in Latin America.
Nina Gomez is out of touch. As Jackson Diehl pointed out in yesterday's Washington Post ("Ortega Amnesia"), President Bush long ago became a Sandinista! Meanwhile, the most effective opposition to Ortega is coming from left-wing individuals and organizations.
