US' ConocoPhillips approves senior management changes

US' oil major ConocoPhillips has approved a number of senior management
changes, including an executive vice president and the current president and
chief executive office, the company said in a statement Monday.

Jim W Nokes, executive vice president, refining, marketing, supply &
transportation, has elected to retire after 36 years of service, the company
statement said. His retirement will be effective Apr 30.

James L Gallogly, currently president and chief executive officer of
Chevron Phillips Chemical Co, will replace Nokes.

"I am confident that our downstream business will continue its strong
performance under the direction of Jim Gallogly," said Jim Mulva, chairman and
CEO said.

The company's downstream strategy remains the same with the new
management changes. "We are focused on expanding our worldwide refining
position as well as our US capacity and conversion capability, and on
strengthening integration with the upstream side of the company," Mulva said.

The new president and CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical will be announced
today by the chemicals joint venture company.

The other changes also will be effective April 1.

John E Lowe, currently executive vice president of planning, strategy &
corporate affairs, will become executive vice president of commercial and
responsible for optimizing the value of the company?s assets through supply
and trading of its commodity portfolio, the statement said.

Philip L Frederickson, currently executive vice president of commercial
will become executive vice president of planning, strategy & corporate affairs
and will be responsible for planning and strategic transactions, government
affairs and communications.

Ryan M Lance, currently president of strategy, integration and specialty
businesses for refining, marketing, supply & transportation, will become
senior vice president of technology and major projects.
