Petrobras in negotiations to expand with Bolivia's new government

Joao Figueira an executive with Petrobras, told reporters on the sidelines of an oil industry event in London, that talks on expanding in Bolivia are been held with Bolivia's new government sand expecting conclusions by the end of March.

Negotiations are making progress, Figueira said: "We're about to conclude these negotiations hopefully by the end of March," he added.

According to the Bolivian newspaper La Razon Petrobras expects to negotiate with Bolivia's oil company YPFB an investment program in the order of $5 billion with Bolivia's oil company YPFB, Petrobras' International Director, Nestor Cervero, was quoted as saying.

Petrobras was working out an investment program of more than $5 billion with Bolivia's state-energy company, Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos, or YPFB.

"If all projects go through, the investment sum by Petrobras and partner companies would be about that sum," of $5 billion, a Petrobras press official said earlier Monday, Dow Jones reported Monday.
