Venezuela's
tax Authority sen OPEN oil a tax bill of US$1mn in back taxes

Venezuelan tax authority SENIAT said in statement that OPEN oil company
owes the country's 2.2bn bolivares (US$1mn) in back taxes.
The
company operates the Casma-Anaco field under an transition operating
agreement and will become soon a joint venture partner of Venezuelan
oil company in the operation of the field
Venezuela's
government have been revising all oil company tax records after SENIAT
change last year the tax rate to 50% to companies operating oilfields
for PDVSA. Companies had been paying 34%.
