were stop due to an electric fault early Friday. PDVSA implemented emergency
protocols to guaranty the safe shut down of all processes, a press release

glitch in Sub-station T-31 disturbed the electrical system affecting
the industrial services of steam, air and power in the refinery. As
a result, processing units were stopped, with no material or environmental
damages or any fatalities.
The
General Management in the refining complex triggered a Safe Start-out
Plan, along with the Emergency and Contingency Plan. Based on these
procedures, skilled staff worked on reestablishment of industrial services
and gradual restart of operations in the processing units.
"PDVSA
ratifies secured supply to the domestic and foreign market. There is
stock enough of products in the fuel distribution systems and storage
deposits in the corporation refining circuit in order to fulfill the
commitments with customers.
International shipments are being completed as scheduled," PDVSA
said.
