Granado, the head of refining at Venezuela's oil company PDVSA said
to reporters Tuesday that Venezuela's Cardon oil refinery still has
some units down but that has restored more than 90 percent of its operations
after a power outage that caused a shutdown more than a week ago.

Alejandro Granado, the head of refining at Petroleos de Venezuela SA,
said to reporters at an oil and gas conference in Caracas, that operations
are nearly back to normal after a power outage caused a shutdown more
than a week ago.
"I
would say that more than 90 percent of the refinery is operative,"
Granado told reporters at an energy industry conference.
He
said that some shipments to clienst could be delayed one to two days.
Cardon with Amuay and Bajo Grande refineries form the giant Paraguana
refining complex or CRP, which has a capacity of more than 960,000 barrels
a day and is Venezuela's main source of gasoline exports.
Venezuela
is the world's fifth-largest oil exporter and a top supplier to the
U.S. market.
