Brazil's top energy officials to visit Venezuela and Bolivia

Brazilian Energy Minister Silas Rondeau and Jose Gabrielli, CEO of
state Petrobras, will be in Caracas, on Tuesday to meet Bolivian
Energy Minister Rafael Ramirez for talks on new gas projects in Northern Paria fields and Orinoco Faja extra heavy oil basin, Venezuela's energy ministry Rafael ramirez said Monday.

The talks with Ramirez are set to address in addition to the new offshore gas exploration projects, the Southern Pipeline Plan, budgeted at $20 billion, to bring Venezuelan gas to Brazil, Argentina and other countries in the Southern Cone region.

The top officials, will head to La Paz, Bolivia, on Wednesday to meet Bolivian
Energy Minister Andres Soliz Rada for talks on the price Brazil pays for
Bolivian gas, a Brazilian energy ministry spokesman said Monday.

The top Brazilian energy officials are heading to Bolivia to receive an
official proposal from Bolivia, which seeks to boost the price of up to 30
million cubic meters a day it sells to Brazil by $2/MMBtu, to $5.23/MMBtu,
according to statements by Bolivian President Evo Morales over the weekend.
