Kardan N.V. (Kardan) announces that its infrastructure subsidiary, Tahal Consulting Engineers Ltd. (Tahal Ltd.), has won two infrastructure projects in Venezuela.

Tahal Ltd. won the tenders together with a local contractor, NASE. Tahal Ltd. has a 20% share in the projects, which are valued at $ 40 million each. The tenders, which were issued by the national water company of Venezuela, relate to conveyance of water to Margarita Island in the Caribbean sea via two supply pipelines, each 20 km long. Margarita Island is a tourist location with more than 600,000 residents and visitors. The lines will supply water to the island, which lacks its own water sources, from a reservoir located at a distance of about 90 km on the mainland.

Tahal Ltd. is a 100% subsidiary of Tahal Group B.V., which is the holding company of the infrastructure activities of Kardan. Tahal Group B.V. operates internationally in the fields of planning, design, construction and project management services as well as in turnkey and build, operate and transfer projects. Approximately 90% of the activities of Tahal are directly related to water and sewage systems.
