Egypt's new government list

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle which saw the justice minister replaced, the presidency announced Sunday.

The planning and development portfolio, previously held by Osman Mohammed Osman, was divided into Osman's new job of secretary of state for economic development and that of secretary of state for local development to be filled by Mohammed Abdel Salam el-Mahjoub.

- Defence and military production minister: Mohammed Hussein Tantawi
- Foreign minister: Ahmed Abul Gheit
- Interior minister: Habib al-Adli
- Information minister: Anas al-Fiqi
- Finance minister and insurance: Yusef Boutros-Ghali
- Industry, foreign and local trade minister: Rashid Mohammed Rashid
- Investments development minister: Mahmud Mohieddin
- Culture minister: Faruq Hosni
- Labour and immigration minister: Aisha Abdul Hadi
