Lukoil plans to increase its crude refining capacity to 1.5 million
b/d
within ten years, with oil output to reach 3 million b/d, vice president
Leonid Fedun told a conference in Moscow Thursday.
"In the near future, we plan to increase refining capacity by 50%
to 75
million mt/year (1.5 million b/d), and in the long term perspective,
to 100
million mt/year," Fedun said.
He said the company would increase its earning by 30% if the company
refines 75% of its oil. He did not specify what share it refines now.
He reiterated Lukoil's plans to increase refining capacity not only
in
Russia but throughout Europe.
Fedun said that Lukoil is considering building a refinery in Russia,
but
said it was too early to give details.
Lukoil plans to increase crude refining capacity at its refinery in
Nizhny Novgorod from 11 million/year to 20 million mt/year within three
years.
It also plans to increase capacity of Volgograd refinery by 50% to 15
million mt/year. Lukoil confirmed its plans to double crude output to
3
million b/d within ten years, with the total hydrocarbon output to reach
4
million b/d.
