British trade mission to visit Venezuela between 16th and 23rd September

A
British trade mission organized by UK Trade and Investment and the Northern
Offshore Federation comprising representatives from four firms mainly
oriented towards education and training in the oil and gas sector will
visit Venezuela between 16th and 23rd September to explore business
possibilities.
The group is made up by Karl Reeder, Executive Director
of Petrotec, an engineering firm with experience in Turn Key Project
Management and Integrated Mechanical Completion Commissioning and Start-Up
Service for new build projects within the Oil, Gas and Petro-Chemical
Industries; Ben Trewin, sales manager of Pisys Ltd., a medium-sized
firm established in Aberdeen, Scotland, specializing in Information
Technology, whose main product is a Multi-Purpose Training Simulator
used to provide a wide variety of training environments; Philip Blewitt,
Business Manager of TTE International Ltd., dedicated to technical engineering
training and oil and gas engineering processes; and Mark Critchley from
the College of Physical Science of the University of Aberdeen.
British firms in human rights training for oil and gas
sectors have wide experience and are recognized world-wide profesionally
for their progressive high-level.
The group will meet on Monday 18th with representatives
from PDVSA and with executives from the Venezuelan Oil Chamber, the
Venezuelan Association of Gas Processors, and the Anglo-Venezuelan Trade
Chamber.
On Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th the group will visit
Maracaibo, where meetings will be held with executives from local and
foreign oil companies participating in the development of projects in
Zulia state. The group plans to visit the Barcelona-Puerto La Cruz and
Anaco zone on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd, where they will make contact
with regional institutions.
This trade mission, the third to visit Venezuelan this year, reflects
British interest in contributing to the oil and gas industrial sector
of the country, by developing trade and offering new tecnology and expertise
based on experience obtained in the exploration and production of North
Sea crude oil.
