El
Palito refinery, located in northern-central Carabobo state, started again
at full speed Thursday after a three-day stoppage due to an electrical
failure, state-run oil holding Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) reported.
The
standstill did not disturb fuel supply, as stocks were enough for 25 days,
Pdvsa added, as quoted by AFP.
The
catalytic cracking unit, where components for fuel are manufactured, started
again on Thursday, as the final step to complete the operations. El Palito
refinery had stopped some of its facilities last Monday because of interconnection
troubles in the electrical grid.
That
same Monday, two boilers and one turbo-generator restarted operations.
El
Palito refinery processes 130,000 bpd in average both for export and domestic
consumption in western states.
