Trinidad-based gas liquefaction complex Atlantic LNG will conduct work
on
Train 4 next week as part of a scheduled maintenance program that began
last
month, a company official said Thursday.
Atlantic has shut
one gas liquefaction unit at a time, starting with
Train 1 in September. In October, work was conducted on Train 2, and
the
program culminates next week with work on Train 4, according to the
official.
Train 4 is owned
by BP (37.78%), BG (28.89%), Repsol (22.22%) and
the National Gas Co. of Trinidad & Tobago (11.11%), and joins three
operational trains in Point Fortin, along Trinidad's southwest coast.
The trains are
owned separately, but a joint use and operating agreement
among owners allows them to be run in combination, sharing common assets
and costs. The facility is the major supplier of LNG to the US market,
and
also exports to Spain, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
