ICA Fluor, jointly owned by Fluor and Empresas ICA, has signed a contract as part of a consortium for services at PEMEX's Chicontepec oil field.

Under the contract, ICA Fluor will provide the engineering, procurement and construction services for the surface infrastructure and production facilities of the onshore oil field, which is located 250km northeast of Mexico City, in the states of Veracruz and Puebla.

ICA Fluor holds a 29 per cent interest in the contract, the total value of which is $1.4bn. The project is scheduled to last for four years.

State-owned PEMEX and ICA Fluor have worked together on a number of projects in Mexico over the past 14 years.
