Trinidad's
LNG problems dent Phoenix Park NGL output: sources
HOUSTON
Petroleumworld.com, Mar 03, 2008
Trinidad and Tobago's Phoenix Park NGL plant saw production drop
by
approximately 6,500 b/d due to a lack of feed from the country's
Atlantic
LNG's train 1, market sources said.
Market sources reported that the LNG facility, adjacent
to Phoenix Park,
lost its train 1 on Tuesday. Atlantic LNG spokeswoman Patricia
Ganase
confirmed Friday that the train was down for maintenance
but did not give an
exact shutdown date.
The turnaround will take about one week, she said, without
explaining
what was wrong with the train.
The lack of feed from the train to Phoenix Park caused
NGL production to
fall.
This lost volume is comprised of 2,000 b/d each of propane
and normal
butane, and 2,500 b/d of natural gasoline, a source familiar
with the asset
said. After the loss of feed, total plant output is now
about 29,000 b/d.
However,
Phoenix Park's contract customers were not expected to
be
impacted, although spot volume sales could be reduced,
the source familiar
with the asset said.
Officials
at Phoenix Park were unavailable for comment.
