energy minister: OPEC current production is adequate

Rafael Ramirez,
Venezuelan energy and oil Minister said Friday that OPEC current production
was adequate and Venezuela will push to maintain the same production levels
at the next OPEC meeting.
"
We want the same production," OPEC current
production is adequate Ramirez told reporters
Friday after a signing ceremony with Eni SpA's.
"OPEC should be very careful not to
inundate the market with oil" Ramirez added.
Ramirez
explained that high oil prices are due to speculators
and geopolitical factors.
OPEC
will meet March 5 in Vienna to decide on output levels.
