in tests
PARIS

Maurel
et Prom said two development wells in Colombian fields
in which it has stakes have
shown outputs of 950 and 800 barrels a day in tests.
The Balcon-22 well, on the Palermo contract in which Maurel
et Prom has 50 pct, showed a 950 bpd output of 31 degrees
API oil and the well has been connected to existing surface
installations.
Pacande Sur-2, on the Ortega contract where the French
oil company has 69 pct, produced 800 bpd of 28.5 degrees
API oil and has also been linked to existing installations.
Maurel et Prom is operator of the Palermo contract, the
rest of which is held by Colombian national oil company
Ecopetrol.
At Ortega, Ecopetrol holds the other 31 pct and is the
operator. Two exploration wells will be drilled in the
first half of 2008 near Pacande Sur-2, Maurel et Prom said.
La Canada Norte-2 and 3 wells on the San Jacinto and Rio
Paez permits, 36.67 pct owned by Maurel et Prom, have shown
a combined output of 300 bpd, the company said.
In that field, the French company is operator and the
other stakes are held by Cepsa unit Cepcolsa, with 33.33
pct and Petrobras with 30 pct.
