South Korean construction firm Daelim Industrial said Thursday it has won a 1.66-billion-dollar deal to help build an oil refinery in Saudi Arabia.
Under the contract with state-owned Saudi Aramco, Daelim will build two plants at the Yanbu industrial complex, 300 kilometers (187 miles) north of Jeddah.
The project is aimed at completing a refinery with a daily processing capacity of 400,000 barrels by May 2014.
Daelim is also involved in six other engineering projects worth more than five billion dollars in the Middle East alone.
