Rodrigo Viga Gaier -Petrobras restarts its Pasadena, Texas, refinery

A Petrobras refinery in Pasadena, Texas, restarted operations over the weekend after weather and flooding conditions improved following the passage of Hurricane Harvey, a person with knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Monday.

The refinery is ramping up production and will return to normal operations by the end of this week, said the company source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The plant has capacity to process just over 100,000 barrels per day.

Petroleo Brasileiro SA, as the company is formally known, hiked gasoline prices by 10 percent in Brazil this month in response to the hurricane, which killed residents and disrupted facilities along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

Petrobras did not immediately respond to request for comment.
