Brazil to pump more than 5 mln bpd crude by 2027 - ANP

By Reuters Staff

RIO DE JANEIRO
Petroleumworld 10 27 2017

Brazil could boost crude output to over 5 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2027, making it the source of the biggest increase in global crude supplies outside OPEC in coming years, the head of the country's oil regulator ANP said on Thursday.

That would be double the 2.57 million bpd of crude Brazil produced in August, and make the country one of the world's largest oil producers.

Brazil will auction eight blocks in its prolific pre-salt deepwater region on Friday, and the additional output from those blocks would help boost the country's supply, said ANP head Decio Oddone, speaking at an oil conference.
