Lukoil to continue support of the sustainable economic development of the Perm region
Vagit Alekperov, Dmitry Makhonin, Viktor Martynov and Anatoly Tashkinov also met with
students of a branch of Gorkin University and answered their questions.

Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Dmitry Makhonin, Head of Perm Region, signed an Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation for 2021-2025 today in Perm. It is designed to continue the sustainable economic development of the region and to implement local and regional social projects.
As part of the agreement, LUKOIL will support construction, reconstruction, and repair of medical, educational, infrastructural, cultural, and sports facilities in the region. The LUKOIL Charity Fund is to hold its traditional events, and the 20th Social and Cultural Projects Competition will also take place. Furthermore, the Company and the region continue their cooperation to implement environmental programs and projects.
Vagit Alekperov and Dmitry Makhonin have visited the site of the catalytic cracking unit at LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez refinery and held a teleconference with LUKOIL teams in Perm Region participated by over five thousand employees. The event was followed by a ceremony of national, ministerial and corporate awards presentation on the occasion of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day.
Governor of Perm region Dmitry Makhonin and rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov signed an agreement on development of scientific cooperation and implementation of joint research projects today in the city of Perm, in the prescriptive of President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov.
The document is aimed at exchange of best practices in science and education, as well as development of a system of training highly qualified personnel for research and production spheres.
The parties will cooperate via the world-class Perm Research and Education Centre for Sustainable Management of Resources. The Centre's main area of expertise is developing unparalleled software and supplying technological solutions for Perm oil industry.
Among one of the recent products of the Centre is the Mobile Lineman app, which automates procedures performed by oil and gas production operators. The app's commercial use commenced in 2019, and by the end of 2021, it will be introduced at every LUKOIL facility in the Perm region.
In cooperation with Gubkin University, the Research Centre plans to develop education programmes, create and put to use new technologies, and further work on transferring innovations from pure science to real industry.
