Petroecuador's
pumping 83% of normal output

As
of 1100GMT, on Monday, Petroecuador's came back to a 83% of its
normal oil output after a six-day strike of around 4,000 oil contracted
workers in Sucumbios, Orellana, and Napo provinces.
"The
strike is finished. Workers started to return to their jobs on
Sunday. We hope to recover our normal levels of production as
son as possible", Jaime Crow, Petroproduccion vice president,
told Dow Jones Newswires on Monday.
Petroecuador's
normal level is 200,000 barrels per day and it was reported that
they were pumping Monday to 133.823 b/d.
The strike
started last week as Petroecuador owes the contracted companies
about $150 million, of which $50 million refers to Petroproduccion,
the production arm of Petroecuador.
Petroecuador, estimations losses are of more than 380,000 barrels
of oil production, and around $20 million.
Petroecuador
reached an agreement with protesters and government officials
to end the strike by promising to pay to workers $20 million in
late salaries and guarantee timely payments, among other things

is expected that the state of emergency be lifted on Monday.
